During an errand the West Village, NY
February brought NEW experiences, I got to take my first trip to New York. I got to curl some hair and sling some makeup at a Brooklyn soundstage, for a music video with Miss Rachel Arianna, "Walking Away With Your Heart". Then traveled over to Long Island to beautify Mrs. Lisa Matassa for some inserts on her television pilot. It was a COMPLETE adventure, I cannot wait to get back to visit New York. It was such a fast & busy trip, but oh so amazing! I am so grateful for that experience. I don't know what I would do without my talented friends!
March continued to bring creative surprises. Micky Hoogendijk brought me onto an Austin Monthly Fashion spread for May release. We shot at St. Elmo Soundstage with beautiful models, wonderful clothes and Micky's amazing concept!

Spring into Summer, to be continued.....
Below, enjoy the video by Adam Curry of the fabulous Austin Monthly shoot experience! Thank you for uploading Mr. Curry!
Happy 2013! I hope everyone is having an amazing year so far! I got to start the month off by traveling to Nashville to work on a television pilot. An interesting, and educational trip that was! Although I cannot post images from the filming. I have a couple of gorgeous location photos to share.
In the photo above, the sun setting over trees on 80 acres of land in a outskirt town of Nashville, TN. Such a hauntingly beautiful location.
(Image below) Behind the Red barn, opposite angle from previous image. With a car we are filming in the background.
The rest of the month was followed by fashion shoots, makeup and hair planning for brides to be, musicians and videos.
Below is a beautiful photo by www.mickysees.com from a photoshoot that Micky masterminded. Coco Coquette designed the wig of amazement, I maintained the wig, and was lucky enough to do the makeup on model Johanna.
I cannot wait to show you more images as I get them for Februarys adventures! Until then cyberspace, have a wonderful journey!
Neon Trees on Stageside Live for CBS.
I haven't blogged in quite awhile, and I have no idea where to start. My most recent gig that I am so proud to have been a part of, was for a new show on CBS called Stageside Live. It was a filming of a Live performance of Neon Trees. I was fortunate enough to be makeup/hair for this concert event. I brought along with me Makeup Artist, Allie Towell to help me with the night's adventures. Below is the link to the entire concert, which aired on CBS. I was so excited to be there, and so thankful. There were even a few tears shed that night. It was so much fun!
Pee-Wee Herman's bike from Pee-Wee's Big Adventure
Earlier in the fall, I went out to Los Angeles to work on a tv show, (airing next year on the Travel Channel) called "Feed The Beast", with Mikey Roe as it's host. Not only was that show so enjoyable to work on, the cast/crew were so great to be around. I cannot wait to see it air in February 2013!
During my trip to LA, I got to finally go to The Max Factor Beauty Museum! The museum was bought awhile ago by the Hollywood History Museum, but it's still an amazing way to take a few peeks into the Max Factor inventions, beauty rooms, tools, photographs and other gorgeous antiquities. I cried a bit in that museum as well. I was in the right place at the right time. The feeling of those rooms are indescribable - where Lucille Ball, Ava Gardner, Marilyn Monroe, Clara Bow and so many other starlets first got their makeovers and hairstyles they made so famous! It is truly a hidden gem of a museum. The Hollywood History Museum has alot of film and television memorabilia. Really some blasts from the past!
Finally the 1st WWE Magazine is on the shelves! A month ago, I was asked to work for The Zenobia Agency on 3 photo shoots at the Frank Erwin Center right before the WWE had their live event.
I was the makeup & hair artist for the WWE Diva's: Kaitlyn, Nattie and Alicia Fox. The October issue has Kaitlyn done up for Halloween as "The Ultimate Warrior". I cannot stress how excited I was to do this makeup. Below are a couple of behind the scenes photos posted on WWE Magazine's Twitter page, (@WWEmagazine ).
Next I got to beautify Natalya. She was going to be in vintage lingerie for her pinup shoot. (Achem, yeah I was stoked). Below is an image I took of the photographer Marius Brugge shooting Natalya.
WWE Magazines can be found now at your favorite magazine distributor. Grab it today! Oh, and before I forget, the Alicia Fox issue will be out next month! Until then, you are BEAUTIFUL!
I have gotten the honor to work with Jason Castro, you might remember him from American Idol. Three months ago I groomed, (dreadlock styling and mu) him for his upcoming album release. The images are somewhat online. But I am still waiting for the official copies. Instead, I found an image his super sweet and beautiful wife took of us while working. As shown below.
Over the weekend, I got to work with him again on the music video for his song, "Only A Mountain". And again, it was such a treat. As soon as the images and video is out, I will be a-postin'! Until then, enjoy yourselves.
Last night I was invited to another intoxicating Kitty Korvette Presents; Purr-Fume Soirée. This was my second time attending, so it was only natural to bring a friend or two.
The night was full of surprises, new found friends and I found more amazing concoctions to add to my collection. My friends couldn't leave empty handed, they also took home favorites and now my beau is in love with a body wash I brought home!
I heard a rumor that she will be hosting an unveiling of a new fragrance, FAUST at Secret Oktober, (Austin, TX) possibly set for the month of October along with the release of Gabrielle Faust's new novel. Kitty Korvette's full line of Purr-Fume will be for sale as well as copies of the new Gabrielle Faust novel.

Thanks to my partners in crime last night: The illustrious Caroline, (a.k.a. Lucy La Loca & Lucy Luscious). And uber talented hairstylist Bobbie Kleman (now booking at Joie De Vie in Austin, TX).
Be sure to check back for updates!
April 20th of 2012 in Austin, TX at the Moody Theatre - ACL Live was the date and The Johnny Cash Benefit Concert was a magical night to be a part of. I am still in awe of all the amazing talent in one place honoring The Man in Black, Mr. Johnny Cash.
Working with me that night were some awesome makeup artists and hair stylists. Helping me with makeup was Jenny Bailey, along with Bobbie Kleman and Angelia Sheets doin' up some hair. It's going to be exciting to finally watch the show, (without being backstatge). Don't get me wrong, the excitement of a living and breathing animal, (live event show makeup & hair work) is intoxicating. And it was an amazing night. It was also a treat that writer/director for the upcoming movie "Zombex", Jesse Dayton was there as well with his lovely wife, (my friend, actress in Zombex, a.k.a. Misstressclegg VonSinister & Emily Kaye). Jesse sang with the evenings host, Mr. Matthew McConaughey.
This weekend is the beginning of the four air dates on your local PBS station. For Austin, TX be sure to tune into KRLU at the dates and times below. You won't be sorry.
Another amazing addition to this year has been working, (as an additional mua/h for green screen interviews for shippers Jennifer and Ronnie) on A&E's Shipping Wars. Last night was the Season 2 Premiere. UShip had their party at The Alamo Drafthouse -The Ritz in Austin, TX. I got a delightfully surprising call from Jennifer to get her glamified for the party! It was so fun to be able to do her makeup outside of greenscreen! We definately had fun with a smokey look, and she was off with her beau, Brandon to paint the town.
Below are a couple candids from the night. Hopefully more will come soon!
The year has really brought some amazing opportunities and it's barely August! One of these times was with NIKE. They have been all over the U.S. filming cultural spots and a few months back, I was fortunate enough with them in Dallas, TX. We filmed the meeting of Felix Jones and Ace Hood at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium. It was a real treat to be hired on for the Grooming of these very talented men. Enjoy the video link below to see the fun!

I officially got a call from a Los Angeles, CA based agency that is now REPRESENTING ME! EEEeeeeek!
I am not going to post the agency name until I am on their physical database online, but it's still a long awaited dream come true.
What does this mean? Besides that FireMakeup Artistry by Jessi Pagel is going to be amongst the high-end artist names all over the United States, I can now be called upon by my agent to work with traveling into Texas corporations, fashion campaign clients, celebrity, and the list goes on. I am elated, I am overjoyed..... I even shed some laughing tears.
It has been an amazing journey and it's going to positively get even more amazing!
Here's to the future!
